A good example of how mixed technologies can pretty the place up a bit. It’s a macro display system that responds to mobile txt input with movement and sound.
In each installation, participants send their thoughts and questions via SMS and voicemail. The responses are then projected and added to a dynamic spatialized audio composition.

This idea is really exciting.
It’s surprising how collaborative spaces like this change things – like at Microsoft I remember one of their “training” rooms with screen all over the place and whitebaords all around the room.
It’s similar to something I was thinking about in the summer – participative art – A flat screen with touch input that peope could re-arrange elements. No doubt though some would create inapropriate art. I suppose some could post inappropriate thoughts on the wall art
If it was me I’d programme the system so that it didn’t respond to inappropriate comments – there’s nothing like a big fat zero to get the message across. Play nice – or you get the BIG FAT ZERO.
